Although theAmerican gervernment claims that this policy is not against Moslemnations, but to discourage terrorism, most Muslims criticize theiractions.

Although the American military is trying to carry out bombing soas to not harm the general population, it is impossible for them toavoid civilian casualties. This situation has lead Afghanistan tooppose the U.S., and to wage an anti-Americaism campainge. If thesecircumstances lead to increased support for bin Laden among Moslemnations, the American military will have a hard time trying todestroy the organization.

That is why the American government is trying to get support fromall Middle Eastern Moslem nations except Afghanistan. But theAmerican government still can't achieve their objective because manyMiddle Eastern nations hate America because of their past anti-MiddleEastern policies.

As Afghanistan is one of the poorest countries, many of its peoplehave become refugees. Since the U.S. action there, the increase ofrefugees has fed their anti-Amerian feelings further. The purpose ofAmerica is neither to make refugees nor war on Afghanistan. But now,the American decision to send their army must cause Afuganistan towant to take revenge on the American government.

@ The Afghan people must hate the American actions and their ragewill continue even if the American army captures or kills bin Laden. One Japanese newspaper described it as "a one hundred year war or(even) a one thousand year war." This shows that the tragedy will betransmitted onto the next generation through their parents.

Thus, the United Nations has to demonstrate its plan to fightterrorism in order to end the war. They are obliged to make a planbased on the facts which caused the war. That includes polices tostem the flow of refugees and to create an economy to helpAfghanistan end widespread poverty. The United Nations shouldestablish peace in order to strengthen politics and economics and itshould send relief to Afghanistan.

Japanese
Topics
Index

@
